We are a fashion forward company where fashion is first. Jacka Designs is to keep you on everyone's mind long after the day or evening has ended. Once was told "the details of the design are what make a garment stand out, fabric and colors are part of the design detail, which is appreciated most by designers and clients."  So, when I begin a design I keep that thought in mind with my own Edgy, Sophisticated and Latina flair.
My passion for fashion comes from the women in my family. Being 3rd generation seamstress I have taken my families' pastime a step further.  My teachers were my mother, grandmother and aunt whom worked in garment factories for many years and made "one of kind outfits" for friends and neighbors for their special occasions to earn extra money. These strong women, whom showed me how to use a sewing machine, stated, "the details of the design is what make the garment standout."  They have been and still are my inspiration.
Born and raised in one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world, New York, I then relocated with my family to Tampa in 1993.  Being Puerto Rican; and a Salsera at heart, I was never really able to find anything to wear with flair to go dancing. I decided to get out the good ole' sewing machine and make an outfit for that evening.  Much to my surprise, I was approached by several Salseros, whom were interested in the outfit.  I once used to
only design clothes for myself, now I design for both men and women: anything from dancewear, business suits, men's wear, to ball gowns.
